All stressed up with nowhere to grow on a Sunday afternoon...
Blackpool Gazette
|August 26, 2025
There is a band of people who enjoy spending their Sundays wandering around garden centres to see if anything has been added to the wares on sale since the previous weekend's visit.

On those occasions I have been tricked into mingling with this particular crowd it has been to feign interest in Christmas decorations we don’t end up buying or picking up bits and pieces for the barbecue season.
Annually this means a new barbecue after someone left the previous one outside for the winter to do its worst with or to pick up a family-sized sack of coals and firelighters.
