Murder probe after man dies in attack near train station

A MURDER probe is under way after a man died after being attacked in Perry Barr.
Police were called to the A34 Birchfield Road shortly before 10pm on Thursday.
A man had been found in a serious condition, and despite the best efforts of emergency crews, he was pronounced dead a short time later.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "A murder investigation is under way after a man tragically died after being attacked in Perry Barr.
"We were called to Birchfield Road, near to Perry Barr train station, at just before 9.50pm.
"The man was found in a serious condition and, sadly, nothing could be done to save him.
