DOUBLE TROUBLE FOR A FIRST TIME DAD OF TWINS
"To lose patience is to lose the battle," Mahatma Gandhi said. But I wonder whether he ever had to move home under the UK conveyancing system and truly test his capacity for stoicism.
What has emerged is the process shares a few similarities with pregnancy, for me anyway, since I never had to do the giving birth thing.
I say we're selling up, and friends, colleagues and anyone I meet tell tales of missing money, time delays and on one occasion, a car engine fire resulting in the loss of everything they owned.
I remember the same with the wait for the twins to arrive, trying to figure out dates, timings, potential pitfalls, and looking for clarity from anyone amid the confusion.
