Indian award spices up life for staff at Birmingham restaurant

A BIRMINGHAM restaurant has been given an award by the government of India for its work showcasing authentic flavours from the nation.

Staff from Asha's, the well-known Birmingham Indian restaurant visited by celebrities including Tom Cruise, Ed Sheeran and Pink as well as scores of Brummies, visited Delhi to receive the award.
The Newhall Street restaurant was selected from hundreds of restaurants across 39 countries to be awarded the Annapurna Certificate by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
