First Reform councillors as Tory rebels switch party

SOLIHULL has its first Reform UK councillors after three rebels announced they were joining the party.

Cllrs Michael Gough, Samantha Gethen and Alan Feeney left the ruling Conservative group at Solihull Council to sit as independents earlier this year.

The three appeared at Reform's conference, at the NEC last weekend, to announce they would sit as party councillors.

In a video posted on X, Cllr Gough said: "I spent the last few months speaking with residents and many of you have said 'You should join Reform.
