Ex-police officer further jailed after victim recognises him

A SEX offender has been given a further sentence after a survivor of his abuse recognised him in an article.

Allan Richards, left, 63, is currently serving a 22-year jail term after he was convicted of 40 offences in 2016.

A man later recognised Richards as the person who assaulted him in the 1990s and he contacted the police, who discovered the incidents took place in Rugeley when Richards was an officer with West Midlands Police.
