Eales backing new boss to give Solihull CHRIS of life!

Millington, the former FC Halifax Town manager, has been appointed as the successor to Matt Taylor, who was sacked at the start of September, and will take charge for the first time today when Moors head to Eastleigh.

Millington, who led Halifax to the National League playoffs in successive seasons before leaving in the summer, will work with number two Andy Cooper, his assistant with the Shaymen, and interim boss James Quinn.

"I'm delighted to welcome Chris and Andy to Moors," said Eales. "They did an outstanding job at FC Halifax Town and both have a wealth of experience at this level and across the game more generally.

"From our first meeting, I was impressed with Chris’ vision and ambition and his excellent fit with Moors as a club and our culture.

"I also think Chris and Andy will work very well with Quinny, who I'm delighted is remaining a key part of the coaching team. I am sure they will also build great relationships across the whole club.
