DOGE leader: Council 'Musk' be modernised

WORCESTERSHIRE County Council has named a cabinet member for DOGE, with Reform’s Nik Price given the responsibility of “modernising operations and driving efficiency” within the council.
However, the position has already been criticised as “another highly paid position” that could be cut to save funds.
Cllr Price, who represents Bromsgrove West, was unveiled as the cabinet member for delivery, operations, governance and efficiency (DOGE).
The acronym is the same as that used by the Department of Government Efficiency in America, created at the start of last year by President Trump and initially led by Elon Musk as he fired thousands of civil servants.
