Davies sticks to his guns in bid to banish away-day blues

Davies will not compromise Birmingham City’s style in pursuit of points away from St Andrew’s.Blues have been brilliant at home this season, taking 20 points from nine matches in B9 - only league leaders Coventry City can better that record.

Their problems have come on the road where they have accumulated just eight points from their nine games and have fallen to defeat on five occasions.

A trip to face a rejuvenated Southampton, who have won four of five under interim boss Tonda Eckert, is therefore a daunting prospect for Blues.

At his pre-Southampton press conference, Davies faced questions over whether he would change his approach and the answer was unequivocal.
