SPANNING from the Black Country to the western edge of Birmingham is the A4123.
-
But drivers will know this A-road by several different names along its 12-mile length, but it's still technically the same road.
The A4123 was built 98 years ago amid increase demand for travel between Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
Although it's a congested road today, weaving through the West Midlands conurbation, at the planners designed its course to avoid major urban areas as much as possible.
