Cash is a question as Villa return to action in the league
Birmingham Mail
|November 19, 2025
ASTON Villa are back in action this weekend against Leeds United after the end of the November international break.
Unai Emery's side won't be disrupted by international football for another four months until next March, so full focus will be on club duties.
After a slow start to the campaign, Villa left for the November break having won eight of their previous 10 matches and claiming 15 points from a possible last 18 in the league.
A 4-0 victory over Bournemouth was an impressive result - one that would have served as a statement to their European rivals this term.
International injury worries
Just two points off third-placed Chelsea, Villa are within striking distance of the Champions League places and could make that leap into the top four this weekend.
Against Leeds at Elland Road, it won't be easy - no away game in the Premier League is - though Daniel Farke's side sit one point outside the relegation zone.
The Lilywhites have lost four of their last five matches in all competitions but claimed victory in their last home game - a 2-1 win over fellow strugglers West Ham.
