Bailey could play key role on comeback

JUST a couple of weeks ago, Unai Emery was not expecting to be calling on Leon Bailey.

The winger, who joined AS Roma on loan at the start of the season, also thought his career at the club had come to an end over the summer.

Roma had an option of £19 million to sign Bailey but quickly decided they would not take up that opportunity.

Bailey's time in Italy got off to the worst possible start, as he suffered an injury in his first training session at his new club.

He started only one league game for Roma after struggling with fitness more than anything else, and he was clearly surplus to requirements in the new year.
