Homeless charity calls for support

Charity Julian House has launched its annual Christmas Appeal, warning that while demand for their support is higher than ever it is still fighting for the future of its services in the area.

Julian House, which has run its hostel for rough sleepers on Manvers Street in Bath for more than 30 years, reports that it has been consistently full and running at 115% capacity for the past year - with all 20 bed spaces filled and sit-up beds consistently in use to offer a few more people a place to stay at night. The charity’s leaders are working with Bath & North East Somerset Council to find an alternative site for this provision, once the current lease ends next summer.
