Bathampton Primary School was awash with excitement and exploding colour as pupils, families, and staff took part in the school’s first ever “colour run”.
-
The event, organised by the Friends of Bathampton School (PTA), brought together the whole community for an afternoon of fun, fitness and fundraising.
With the forecast rain holding off, more than 100 children lined up on the school field wearing white colour run T-shirts, goggles, and huge smiles.
First, the children took part in a warm-up, enthusiastically led by Amy Williams (Skeleton Gold Medal winner in the 2010 Winter Olympics).
As the starting whistle blew, runners set off around the obstacle course while teachers and parents showered participants in bright clouds of blue, pink, yellow, and green powder.
