Reforms set to boost future education
Bangkok Post
|December 04, 2025
The international school sector is being increasingly seen by parents as a source of hope — offering the kind of education their children need to navigate a fast-changing world and growing uncertainties.
The sector is forecast to grow by 9.7% in 2025, generating 95 billion baht in revenue for the country.
Despite this robust growth — driven by both established and newly opened schools of varying scales that provide international education to Thai students — the positive trends have also revealed gaps.
These stem largely from inconsistencies in education policies and frequent changes of government, resulting in misalignment with global standards.
Other challenges that continue to hinder the progress of international schools also involve the recruitment of qualified teachers from overseas.
