Reciprocal trade discussions to be finalised by year-end

Thailand and the US have announced ajoint statement on the Framework for the US-Thailand Agreement on Reciprocal Trade.
The Commerce Minister reaffirmed that both nations aim to finalise the technical details within this year.
Commerce Minister Suphajee Suthumpun said the joint statement, which US President Donald Trump announced via the White House website, underscores the shared commitment of both countries to enhance economic and trade collaboration, achieve a balanced trade relationship and create a framework for negotiating a reciprocal trade agreement.
The statement is non-legally binding, but it serves as a guideline for future consultations.
