PTT Global Chemical Plc (GC), Thailand's largest petrochemical producer by capacity, is bracing for another year of oversupply in the global market with a series of measures aimed at strengthening liquidity and cutting costs.

- YUTHANA PRAIWAN

Chief executive Narongsak Jivakanun said the company will continue to pursue a high-liquidity cash flow strategy to reinforce business resilience amid persistent oversupply pressures.

Analysts expect global petrochemical demand in 2026 to be supported by growth in the packaging and agriculture sectors.

However, the analysts warn that overcapacity and price competition will remain key challenges.
