Protesters to gather at Victory Monument

Authorities have confirmed their readiness to handle a large-scale protest calling for the prime minister's resignation, set to take place at Victory Monument today from 10am to 9pm.
Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt said a command centre would be set up to oversee the rally for safety and order purposes.
Police have advised the public to avoid commuting around Victory Monument today from 3pm to 10pm due to the rally.
This comes as the Ruam Palang Paen Din Pok Pong Athipatai (United Power of the Land to Protect Sovereignty) group, led by former United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship leader Jatuporn Prompan, held a press event yesterday to announce final preparations for the protest.
