Police arrested two monks for allegedly raping seven novices and filming the abuse after luring the victims to their quarters.
Pol Maj Gen Wittaya Sriprasertpap, Commander of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division (ATPD), said yesterday that police raided a temple in Bangkok's Sathon district, following reports from the Pavena Foundation for Children and Women that three novices at the temple were subjected to inappropriate sexual conduct by monks within the temple.
