Over 140 baby sea turtles hatch

A total of 145 baby sea turtles have hatched on Koh Thalu in Bang Saphan Noi district and have been taken to a nursery facility for care before being released back into the sea.

Two hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata), "Mae Pornpana" and another unnamed female, laid eggs on the island in July. These nests were monitored by the Siam Marine Resource Rehabilitation Foundation and marine park officials.
