Thailand took a 2-0 lead in the Davis Cup World Group 2 playoff against Puerto Rico after Maximus Jones and Kasidit Samreg won the singles matches yesterday at the National Tennis Development Centre, Muang Thong Thani.

SEA Games gold medallist Jones overpowered Yannik Alvarez, breaking the Puerto Rican’s serve multiple times before sealing the match, 6-1, 6-2 in just 52 minutes.
