Windy British Open venue worries stars

Jeeno, Ariya carry Thai title hopes

Seven Thai golfers, led by world No.2 Jeeno Thitikul and former winner Ariya Jutanugarn, will compete in the AIS Women's Open — the final Major of the 2025 LPGA Tour season — at Royal Porthcawl in Wales this week.

Jeeno and Ariya will be joined by Patty Tavatanakit, Moriya Jutanugarn, Chanettee Wannasaen, Pajaree Anannarukarn and Arpichaya Yubol as they take on a world-class field highlighted by world No.1 Nelly Korda, defending champion Lydia Ko and Englishwoman Lottie Woad, who won in her professional debut at the Women's Scottish Open last week.

Jeeno, who is nipping at Korda's heels for the No.1 ranking, will be playing in a marquee group along with Australia's Minjee Lee and England's Charley Hull in the first two rounds this week.

Ariya is paired with Korda and Angel Yin, both from the US, while Moriya will play with South Korea's Jung Min-Hong and Nanna Koerstz Madsen of Denmark.
