Foreign arrivals on the rebound
Bangkok Post
|December 02, 2025
Tourism in Trat province has entered its high season, with foreign arrivals showing a clear rebound since late October, says Wichit Sukasuyanont, president of the Trat Tourism Business Association.
“Both Thai and foreign visitors are returning in increasing numbers, particularly on Koh Chang, which now welcomes 3,000-4,000 tourists per day on weekdays and over 5,000 on weekends and holidays,’ he said.
Foreign bookings have steadily risen since the Loy Krathong festival in early November, with around 40-50% of rooms already reserved. For the peak period from early to late December, occupancy is expected to climb to some 80%, signalling a robust recovery ahead of the year-end season, he said.
