Bid to transform Cliftonhill 'won't be quick'

Albion Rovers director Ben Kearney has provided an update on the club's bid to revamp Cliftonhill, but warned fans their hopes of revitalising the 106 year old stadium will be 'a journey, rather than something quick'.

The Coatbridge club announced earlier this year that they have set up a Project Board aimed at bringing in revenue, and a major aspect of that is creating a 3G project that enables the Coatbridge facility to use upgraded Cliftonhill facilities.

Rovers have been in dialogue with the Scottish Football Association about plans to transform the grass pitch at their home ground, enabling them to open it up to the wider community.
