Oppn questions AMC outsourcing of IT services for high pay

Recently, the Standing Committee of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation approved the outsourcing of IT-related services. However, the Opposition party in the AMC has criticised this decision, stating that a post of project manager has been allocated for Rs 3.24 lakh per month, which is higher than all Class 1 officers, including IAS, deputy municipal commissioners and assistant municipal commissioners.

The leader of the Opposition in the AMC, Shehzad Khan Pathan, raised strong objections, stating that approximately 20 such professionals are to be hired, resulting in a cumulative annual expenditure of Rs 3.40 crore. Over the five-year term of the outsou
