Eastern trunk line inaugurated, will ease waterlogging woes

The line, which has been laid at a cost of Rs 81.40 crore, will benefit over 5 lakh residents in eastern parts of the city

To resolve the persistent issue of waterlogging and sewer overflow in the eastern parts of the city, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has completed the laying of the eastern main trunk line.

The project, which spans from Nikol's Kathwada area to the Vinzol sewage treatment plant (STP), has been executed at Rs 81.40 crore.
