Group receives £10k to promote town's heritage

A HERITAGE project group has been awarded £10,000 to promote and celebrate a town’s heritage.

The Heritage Project Team in Clayton-le-Moors is getting ready to start phase two of its initative which aims to make the town’s rich heritage more widely available.
The team has been awarded the money from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and have 18 months to complete a book, ‘Clayton-le-Moors - A People's History’ and plan to create their own short animation.
Schools, care homes and other community facilities will also see supportive materials such as colouring books and fact sheets being produced.
