Bronze for South Africa as Williams steps up at the death

SEAN Williams scored a last-play winner as South Africa overcame Australia to win 26-19 and secure bronze.
The Blitzboks won their second Olympic bronze after finishing third in Rio 2016 but the result came as a surprise given South Africa's struggles in the pool stages and how they only sneaked qualification for the tournament by beating Great Britain in the repechage tournament.
Australia, who finished fourth in the World Series three places above South Africa-absorbed a huge amount of pressure during the opening five minutes of the first half but against the run of play struck with Nathan Lawson capitalising off quick ball by racing in from halfway.
