IN HER FIRST COLLECTION OF ESSAYS, ZOSIA Mamet wants to know: Does This Make Me Funny?

- H. Alan Scott

Zosia Mamet

Her response to what inspired the book should say it all: she jokingly says she was “contractually obligated.” All kidding aside, Mamet says: “I don’t necessarily think that funny people think or know they’re funny. I mean, I hoped certain things that I was writing would make people laugh. But it wasn’t my intention.” Whatever the intention, the laughs are there. But Mamet admits the process of writing was perhaps the hardest part.
