True crime with nibbles

Polkinghorne, redux. “There will be drinks and nibbles from 5.30 and then Steve from 6 to 7,” reads an email I received from the New Zealand Law Society - Te Kāhui Ture o Aotearoa in advance of an appearance I am making on November 19 to discuss my book Polkinghorne: Inside the Trial of the Century.

Strange to keep talking about the trial, which ended on September 23 last year when a jury at the High Court at Auckland found Dr Philip Polkinghorne not guilty of murdering his wife Pauline Hanna. Strange, too, to keep talking about the book, written over summer and published on July 15, definitely the last time I put my name to a book of true-crime until the next one.
