A Student's Best MAIT
India Today
|June 30, 2025
MAIT has been steadily climbing the ranks, reflected in the impressive campus placements and the hike in packages. The institution has the back of the students in every endeavour and they have repaid the faith in spades
MAHARAJA AGRASEN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY New Delhi No. 14 (2025) up from No. 41 (2020)
A At the Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), nearly 95 per cent of the students who registered for placements this year have already received job offers. Amit Gautam, additional director (placements and alumni relations) at MAIT, says that 141 companies, including Infosys, Accenture, ZS Associates and DE Shaw, visited the campus this year, making over 1,300 job offers to 750 students.
What's equally impressive is the rise in average placement packages, which have increased from Rs 6.2 lakh per year in 2022 to Rs 8 lakh in 2024. This upward trend coincides with the institute's growing emphasis on research and innovation, which has contributed to its improved rankings. In 2022, the college had secured only Rs 1 lakh in consultancy projects and Rs 10 lakh in government research funding. By 2024, those numbers had shot up to Rs 80 lakh and Rs 70 lakh, respectively. This focus has also paid off in terms of intellectual property: in 2022, MAIT filed for eight patents, the number was 302 by 2024.
