My aunt recently tried to set me up with her part-time driver, part-time handyman, full-time neighbour.

It wasn’t a subtle nudge, or even a delicately approached subject. Miss ma'am wanted to give me a life partner, with or without my say so.

Why? Because I have built myself a certain life that she feels now needs a man in order for it to be complete. I didn’t tell her I wanted a boyfriend or was feeling incomplete. She just took it upon herself to ‘fix’ my life.
