Decorating Special 2023

With a whole house to update and a tight budget to keep to, Kerry and Richard Kellett took DIY to the next level and did everything from plumbing to laying floors

'I'm so proud that we did all the work ourselves!"

In their previous new-build home, Kerry Kellett and her husband Richard felt like they had very little scope to make it unique. 'I wanted a project, where I could create a home full of character that really felt like our own,' explains Kerry. Although this house, built in the 1980s, was a complete wreck when they viewed it, the couple were able to see past its run-down looks and imagine the beautiful family home it could become.

KITCHEN

The couple wanted a streamlined look in the kitchen so chose handle less doors, and have included as much symmetry as possible to encourage a calm vibe.
