FOR AARON WARREN, maneuver-ing his feet into shoes was a time-consuming experience that often left him uncomfortable or in pain. "Last year, I was putting on my shoes and hurt my toes really badly, and it frustrated me," recalls Warren, who has spinal muscular atrophy. "In that moment, I was like, 'What if I could turn these into accessible shoes? What if I could just add a zipper to them?' "
