Walking in the pine forest near his home in Deià, Mallorca, Matthew Williamson is accompanied by his dog, a border terrier called Mr. Plum, as he clears his head and gets into a creative state of mind. This maverick designer is an award winning, British fashion and interior designer, known predominantly for his glamourous, yet playful use of pattern and colour. As a designer, he effortlessly shifts between fashion and décor with the ease of a creative chameleon. Recalling his early design influences, Matthew says, "I was inspired as a young boy predominantly by my mother and her way with fashion and dressing our family home.
