When it came to creating a new kitchen, the clients of this space wanted a showstopping design that would transform their home. It was a job the Kitchen Design Centre was only too willing to rise to.

Drama and Warmth

The design brief was pretty straightforward, they wanted a WOW kitchen,' recalls John McCartney of Kitchen Design Centre.

'It was to be a contemporary handleless design and they hoped to incorporate an island. They had been round a number of showrooms but after one visit and a chat about their hopes they settled on Kitchen Design Centre.'

The new kitchen would look nothing like the previous one. 'A wall was to come down to create a much bigger space opening on one side to a dining area and on the other to an informal seating space,' John explains. The redesign was linked to a full room renovation, with internal walls removed to extend into what was once the front parlour.

The homeowners had already carried out research before visiting Kitchen Design Centre. 'We had a good idea of exactly what we wanted when it came to the kitchen colour and layout. We viewed several designs from various suppliers and settled with Kitchen Design Centre. We visited their showroom and met with John who guided us through the design process. We had definite ideas, however, John gave us inspiration on what was currently available,' they said.
