Spring Lake Serenity: A Coastal Vacation Home Renovation

Nestled in Spring Lake, New Jersey, this coastal retreat underwent a complete transformation, balancing functionality with casual elegance.

The homeowners, a Westchester-based couple with a love of family gatherings and the Jersey Shore, enlisted Laurie DiGiacomo of Laurie DiGiacomo Interiors to renovate their three-level vacation home. Laurie aimed to create a space that could host large groups while feeling intimate for everyday living.

Laurie’s design journey began in childhood, sparked by Barbie Dream Houses and a friend who encouraged her talent. “Eventually, I listened to her and went back to school for Kitchen and Bath design at The Art Institute. I have been a designer for 16 years now and have loved every minute of it. Like every profession, design is not without its challenges, but when you feel so connected to and inspired by what you do, it makes the challenges feel like part of the growth and journey in one’s profession,” she shares.
