Nestled deep in the southern countryside on old farming land, a once-dated 1980s home has been given a striking new lease on life, this time, with a whole new purpose. Designed by Leah Gelinas and her team at Truth and Co., the renovation was commissioned not for a family, but for a unique client: a local movie studio looking to transform the space into a welcoming and versatile rental property.

While the primary goal was functionality and durability, the team went far beyond the basics. "They wanted a place that was comfortable and felt like home but was also durable and could last for any turnover of people staying in the space," Leah says. In addition to cozy living areas, the home also needed to support the people working there. "There is a conference table on the second floor to serve as a meeting/working space."
