Move succulents undercover

Bring in succulents that have spent the summer outside and are vulnerable to damage from cold winter temperatures or could rot in a wet winter.

Check them over and pull off any leaves that have withered under the rosette of leaves. Check for bugs that will thrive in the warmth of the greenhouse – you don't want to introduce any at this stage – and pick off any that you see. Clean dust off the pots with a brush and dress the compost surface with clean grit.
