Ojas, Your career path is quite unique. Can you share how your journey from chartered accountancy to makeup artistry began?

From a young age, I was captivated by finesse and creativity—be it in makeup, home décor, or painting. Art was my sanctuary during school days. However, my father envisioned a stable career for me, leading me to become a chartered accountant. I practiced for a year but found myself yearning for creative expression. With determination, I convinced my parents to let me pursue hair and makeup artistry, and I'm proud to say I've made them proud in return.

How did your professional journey in the beauty industry unfold, especially in Bollywood?

After graduating from Beauty Schools of America in Miami, I returned to Mumbai, where I was among the few who specialized in both hair and makeup, along with costume styling. This unique combination led me to work on Urmila Matondkar's film as a makeup artist and hairstylist. My work in skin commercial ads gained popularity, culminating in the opportunity to work on Aishwarya Rai's Coca-Cola commercial. This opened doors to collaborate with numerous Bollywood icons like Malaika Arora, Sushmita Sen, Shilpa Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Janhvi Kapoor. My focus on minimalistic and refined makeup styles has made me one of the most sought-after artists in the industry, all thanks to my parents' unwavering blessings.
