The Dior Cruise 2024 collection pays tribute to the iconic Mexican artist and her magnificent art.
For Dior’s Cruise 2024 line, creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri looked to Mexico for inspiration as a “place of the soul” and a place that sparks her emotions. Never missing an opportunity to champion women, the designer opted to honour feminist artists including photographer Tina Modotti and surrealist painter Leonora Carrigton. But at the centre of it all is one of the country’s greatest artists, Frida Kahlo. Renowned for her self-portraits in striking and vibrant colours that beautifully depict her pain and passion, the painter’s work (and life) is celebrated at the heart of the collection.
