CORD's Neha Singh shares why dressing for a slower life and a refusal to be trend-driven makes for a compelling angle in today's fast-fashion climate
-
In a world where fashion moves faster than ever, designing for a slower life feels impactful.
At CORD, we have always resisted the pressure to be trend-driven. Trends are fleeting by nature; they appear, peak, and disappear within a season. But the clothes we design are meant to stay with you far longer than that. Our intention has always been to create pieces that feel timeless rather than seasonal.
For me, clothing has always been connected to how we live our lives. The pieces that truly become part of your wardrobe are the ones you reach for again and again. At CORD, we intentionally design garments that invite repetition. When quality, craftsmanship, and thoughtful construction come together, clothes naturally become pieces you return to often. That repetition is something we encourage, because it supports a more conscious way of dressing – one where a few well-made pieces can be styled in many different ways.
