Fashion icon Kate Moss didn't want her child to follow in her footsteps but Lila's doing things on her own terms

SHE has the petulant pout down to a fine art and an icy stare that could freeze champagne at 20 paces.

In other words, she's perfect supermodel material - which is little surprise given who her mom is.

Yet Lila Moss doesn't only share looks and the It factor with her mother: she loves a spot of holiday time too.

Bikinis, beaches and bobbing in the waves have always been high on Kate Moss' list and she's clearly passed the baton to her 22-year-old daughter. They were recently pictured soaking up the sun with friends on the Spanish island of Formentera, which is near Ibiza, another Moss family favourite.

But the camera picked up something else too. Lila might be following in her mom's footsteps in the fashion world but she's showing she wants to pursue her career on her own terms.

For Lila it's about far more than just looks. Ever since she entered the modelling world she's made a point of being an advocate for diabetes, openly displaying her glucose monitor on the catwalk.

And on that sunny Spanish shore her treatment regime was evident again – two plasters on her bottom covered places where she'd been wearing her monitor and there was another patch on her upper arm too.

This bold display came shortly after news broke that toy giant Mattel was releasing a Lila Moss Barbie. Not only does the doll have the model's blonde hair and hazel eyes but also a circular white continuous glucose monitor on its arm, an insulin pump pod attached at the top of its leg and a handbag featuring a device that monitors glucose levels.
