In a groundbreaking episode, Theo's abuse of Todd reaches a new low

It's been the year of 'special' episodes in Corrie, with flashforwards, flashbacks and tales told from different perspectives.

This week, as Theo's abuse of Todd continues, the story is told in a completely new way – via an array of cameras that capture snippets of the former undertaker's torment.

'It has the style of an episode of 24 Hours in Police Custody,' reveals Gareth Pierce, who plays Todd. 'I anticipated that it might feel like we were watching the characters through a haze – a slight step back from the action – but it actually has the opposite effect. It feels like it brings us closer, like we're eavesdropping and seeing something we shouldn't.'
