Dee-Dee has said numerous times that she absolutely, definitely doesn't want to be Laila's mum, and the tot is better off being adopted by her broody brother James. But now that James and Laila are back in Weatherfield from the States, the inevitable has happened - she can't keep her beak out.
Having already referred to Laila as 'my little girl' in a radio interview and taken her for her vaccinations without consulting James first, this week she skates on very thin ice by secretly arranging for Laila to be baptised.
