A seasoned journalist is plunged into a murder mystery after accepting a travel assignment on board a luxury superyacht's maiden voyage in Netflix's new psychological thriller The Woman in Cabin 10.

Based on the bestselling 2016 novel of the same name by British author Ruth Ware, the adaptation sees Keira Knightley play investigative reporter Laura 'Lo' Blacklock, who's given an all-expenses-paid trip on (fictional) opulent vessel Aurora Borealis.

However, her hopes for respite from the more serious stories she usually covers are soon forgotten when she witnesses a passenger being pushed overboard in the middle of the North Sea.

'You meet Lo after she has just been traumatised while working on a case. Somebody she should have been protecting dies and she wants to give up journalism,' says Keira, 40, who also headlined the streaming giant's hit 2024 spy drama series Black Doves.
