Heart-stopping medical procedures and audacious crimes provide the thrills in Disney+'s Oliver Twist sequel The Artful Dodger.

The series is set in the 1850s, some 15 years after the events of Charles Dickens' novel, and Jack 'The Artful Dodger' Dawkins (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) has escaped prison following his arrest for theft and is now a surgeon in the (fictional) colony of Port Victory in Australia.

'He has learnt that quick fingers have a use other than pickpocketing, and that there's merit in doing something worthwhile for others,' says BrodieSangster, 33, best known for Love Actually and the Maze Runner films.
