Fife-set crime drama Karen Pirie was a big hit with viewers when it first landed on our screens in 2022. Now, Lauren Lyle returns as the plucky Scottish cop for a second series, which sees Karen having risen in the ranks from Detective Sergeant to Detective Inspector.
‘It's a big step up for Karen - she’s in charge of everyone, but she doesn't really know how to act, so she just runs with it,’ reveals Lyle, 32, as she gives TV&Satellite Week a tour of the police-station set.
