The death penalty was abolished in the UK almost 60 years ago, but even now it remains a hot topic, with polls showing many people would support capital punishment in some murder cases.

Now, for a one-off documentary, Dan Walker heads to Huntsville in Texas - the 'execution capital of the world' where nearly 600 convicted criminals have met their deaths since 1982 - to talk to those on both sides of the debate.
