Amy Madigan wants to clear something up. Yes, Weapons was an enormous horror hit, and yes, her performance as the ghoulish Aunt Gladys has earned her a number of accolades, including an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress. (She’s already won a Critics Choice Award and a New York Film Critics Circle Award, among others.) But the veteran character actress says she hasn’t exactly been flooded with offers since the movie thrust her into the spotlight after it premiered last August. “I’ve been asked a lot: ‘Your inbox must be just filled with scripts?’ No, that is not true. There have been some, of course,” she says. “I think the really nice thing about this attention is that I’m much, much, much more in people’s conversations.”
